God’s Gift for You

Today we celebrate the love that came down from Heaven to earth in the form of a tiny babe. This love is like none we will ever know in our lives. It is an unconditional, all-forgiving, sacrificial love that is present in our deepest moments of pain, when we commit our darkest deeds. Even when we reject it, this love never fails because Jesus is love incarnate.

I write with the assumption that my readers are people who have already surrendered their lives to Christ because of their understanding of this love. Please allow me to share the gospel of Christ with you now in case you do not know my Lord and Savior for whom I write, for whom I live.

The verses I share will be from The Bible. There are many translations of God’s word. Find one that enables you to most easily understand the written word inspired by God.

Fact of sin: As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:10; 3:23)

Consequences of sin: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

That means eternity with our Lord and Savior in heaven, not hell.

Salvation provided: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son so that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should to perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

God gave His son at Christmas to live on earth to share His father’s plan of salvation for the sin of man. That plan included Jesus’s death on the cross for our sins and His resurrection from the grave on the third day. That WHOSOEVER part means YOU! No matter who you are and what you’ve done.

Repentance required: If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in you heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10: 9-10)

Salvation accepted: For Whoever calls upon the name of the LORD shall be saved. (Romans 10:13) But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become sons of God, even to them that believe on His name. (John 1:12)

What do you do now?: So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)

Your journey as a child of the King of Kings has just begun. You must begin by spending time daily in prayer (just talking to Jesus) and in God’s Word, the Bible. Find a church home where you can fellowship with believers and grow in your relationship with God. Share this wonderful gift of salvation with those you love, your friends and family and even with strangers when given the chance.

I have prayed for you as I write this that you will open your heart to Jesus, believe and receive. Love you have never imagined awaits you as well as joy and peace beyond compare.
