Today, I would like to direct you to a post from April 20, 2011, entitled “Good Friday.” The Easter season is one of both somber reflection and inexpressible joy. There is the horrific death of our Lord Jesus on a cross. There is the shedding of blood for our sake, to cover past, present and future sins. But there is resurrection, an empty tomb, forgiveness, and the promise of eternity in Heaven where we will see Jesus face to face. Praise the Lord! God, the Father, sacrificed His only Son for us…for our salvation. He loves us that much!
God sees your sins covered in the blood of Jesus. These sins, when confessed, are removed from you as far as the East is from the West. “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is front he west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:11-12) Can I hear a Hallelujah!!
Enjoy the archived post. May the joy of the Lord fill your heart, may you daily choose to spend time in His presence, and may your life be well lived to glorify our Savior and Lord. To God Be the Glory!
