Immersed In the Light of God

“Is there anyplace I can go to avoid your Spirit? To be out of your sight?  If I climb to the sky, you’re there!  If I go underground, you’re there!  If I flew on the morning’s wings to the far western horizon, You’d find me in a minute–you’re already there waiting!  Then I said to myself, “Oh, he even sees me in the dark!  At night I’m immersed in the light.” It’s a fact: darkness isn’t dark to you; night and day, darkness and light, they’re all the same to you.”  (Psalm 139:11-12)

This verse was in a passage of scripture I read today. The line that most captured my attention was this.  “At night I’m immersed in the light.”  Wow! What comfort!  I have several friends, family members and people in my community that are walking in the valley right in some dark places, feeling the oppressive nature of their situations. IMG_7785

However, without a doubt God is with us no matter where we are, no matter how dark the night. And what does He do…He brings light for our path. 1 John 1:5 states that “God is light and in Him there is no darkness.” To know that all of the power and grace of God is available for you in the light of His love and mercy is a most awesome thing when you need it so desperately.

I want to encourage you today in whatever hardships and trials you may be facing to seek God. He is already right there with you. Place your hand in and His be led you into the light of His love where you will be bathed in His grace and carried when you can not make another step. There you will find hope. He has promised us this.

The song “Blessings” has been shared before by me. It seems God wants me to share it again for this time. With prayers that you will stand in the Son light!  To God Be The Glory!

Thank you, Amy. The Lord is definitely using you and your writings in my life at this time. I have no doubt about it and I am sure I am not the only one touched. I read something today in Streams….”The only safety comes from loving, trusting and praising The Lord through everything”. So true. I have no doubt that God knows what He is doing. He is Sovereign and I love Him….through it all…..I’ve learned to trust Him. I love you, Patricia
