The Marriage Of The Lamb of God

(My groom of 35 years in June and our third child. I am blessed!)

I recently had the honor of directing a wedding for a young couple.  So beautiful was the bride that from the moment her groom captured his first glimpse tears of love and happiness rolled down his face. The moment he had waited for had arrived.  She would soon be his wife.

For months the bride had prepared for that exact moment, wanting to look beautiful for her groom, anticipating his response. In that moment, the song below came to mind. I was reminded of how Jesus views us who follow Him as beautiful as any bride as ever looked. How without hesitation He is waiting to take our hand and walk through life with us unconditionally, filled with love that was displayed on a cross.

I recently heard Beth Moore paint the picture of Jesus, sitting at the right hand of the Father, waiting for Him to say, “Son, go get your bride.” Wow! What a day that will be! With eyes on Jesus, I want to be ready, prepared, watching for that moment. Are you ready? To God Alone Be the Glory!

“Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready;  it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure” – for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.” (Revelation 19:6-8)
